Fantasy Premier League Algorithm Results – Week 7

Recently, I created an algorithm to assess the likelihood of players performing well in the Fantasy Premier League, and I can confirm the results are in!

I created a blog post about this, which includes the full list of predictions. I also made the Python code available on Github so everyone/anyone can to contribute to, use, copy or steal it.

The Team

The original team that was picked looked like this (at a total cost of £72million):

The Results – 66 Points

The average score for week 7 was 51 points and our algorithm-generated team came in with a score of 66 Points.
This is a pretty damn good score for any week. The major let down was the Leicester players who scored poorly on their home draw with Burnley.

Potential Score

I also picked 4 subs based on the remaining budget of £28million and their future fixtures. If picked correctly, we could have secured a potential maximum score of 86 Points for week 7. Not bad for a first try.

Impressed? Disgusted? Want to give it a try? Then you can get the code HERE and feel free to alter it in any way you see fit.
